Where is Bredbo?
Bredbo is a quaint country town nestled between Sydney, Canberra
(Australia's Capital City) and the Snowy Mountains. The Snowy
Mountains houses Australia's famous ski resorts of Mount Kosciusko
(Australia's highest mountain), Thredbo, Smiggins Holes and
Perisher Blue.
Bredbo is the start of the New South Wales "High Country".
It is 50 minutes by car from Canberra (80 kilometres south
of Canberra) and 3.5 hours from Sydney (380 kilometres south-west
of Sydney). Just follow the Monaro Highway.
If travelling north Bredbo is located 34 kilometres from
Cooma, the gateway to the Snowy Mountains.
So, Bredbo is the ideal place to stay if you want some tranquil
recuperation time in the middle of the geographic hustle and
bustle of the major tourist centres.
